The famous battle for the imperial throne between Constanine and Massenzio took place here. The neighbourhood offers a rich assortement of typical Roman restaurants, bars and pizzerias. You can take a stroll along the romantic Tiber River or rent bicycles and ride down the bike lane which will take you to the St. Peter and the spectacular Castel S. Angelo in just 20 minutes. On the last Sunday of every month there is an open-air antique/flea market set up along the river, where you can find all sorts of italian relics from the past. For people fond of athletics and soccer, the olympic stadium is only 200 metres away.
